GAIM ENGINEERING WELCOMES FIRST STOCKING
DISTRIBUTORS FOR THE TOTASAK AND HANDLR

BENSENVILLE, Ill (Oct. 16, 2000) - GAIM Engineering has announced that it has switched the distribution mode for its TotASak and Handlr products to stocking distributors from sales agents, effective immediately.

In announcing the move, the Bensenville, Ill.-based company said it had signed with three new distributors for its consumer carryall product: Sunshine Enterprises of Corona, Calif.; Dominey Associates of Oxford, Nova Scotia, Canada; and Signature Accessories Ltd. of Delta British Columbia, Canada.

GAIM moved to the new stocking distributor system in an effort to keep wholesale pricing low while expanding its distribution area.

"The agent system was inhibiting our growth into other markets," says Skip Glatt, president of GAIM Engineering. "There's no longer a need for the 'middleman' because we're now capable of taking orders directly from retailers and distributors and shipping anywhere in the world."

TotASak is a clever device designed to ease the burden of shoppers carrying multiple bags. It and its lighter-weight sister product, HandLr, are ergonomically designed to fit in the palm of the hand, with an open-ended hook beneath the handle that loops through openings in bags, handles and carrying straps. Made from durable, 100% recycled plastic, TotASak enables the user to carry up to 1,400 pounds with ease.

The product comes in a variety of display and packaging options, including display trays, clip strips and peg cards. TotASak's price to retailers is $1.09 per piece; HandLr is $0.585 cents per piece. Distributors receive discounts of up to 35%.

Either product can easily be used as a promotional item at no charge in lots of 2,500 or more. GAIM also will customize them with graphics and logos in color of choice.
